Directions: The coordinates will lead you to a parking lot for the trailhead. Follow the well-defined trail for about a mile to reach the lake. Note: The trailhead starts a few miles up a dirt road past the Albion Basin fee booth in Little Cottonwood Canyon. You will need to pay $8 for a day pass.
Cecret Lake is a quick and easy day hike from Alta's beautiful, wildflower-packed Albion Basin. This is a popular trail and accessible for all hiking abilities, so best to arrive early or on a weekday if you're looking for serenity. The trail is well-defined and easy to follow from the trailhead all the way to the lake. If the bright blue alpine water doesn't impress you, the view of Devil's Castle looming above surely will. Remember to leave the furry friends at home—dogs are not allowed in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
