Difficulty: Moderate ◼︎
Length: 5 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 1,000 feet
Dog Friendly: Yes
Trailhead coordinates (copy + paste): 40.7118, -111.5669
Directions: Park at the Utah Olympic Park (where exactly depends on the operating status of the park, but you can never make it all the way to the trailhead, due to multiple gates). Get as close as you can and then walk on the road to the trailhead, which is just past the helicopter landing zone and is marked with a large sign.
Lined almost entirely with deciduous trees, this trail is a stunner during the fall. Starting from the UOP, Yeti's switches back and forth through the trees and up the hill with gorgeous viewpoints along the way, looking down onto Hi Ute Ranch and across to Hunter's Trail. The incline is steady but manageable. Follow the trail as it wraps around the peak, heading down Moose Puddle all the way back down to the road, which makes this a loop. The trail is beautiful, quiet, and just steep enough— really the perfect hike.
